Definition The management and coordination of secondary tasks.
Acronym
Explanation Facility management includes the collection of task domains that support the primary tasks (i.e. the 'business') of an organization. This includes IT, Building management, Human resource management, Finance, Security, etc.
Note: each of these facility management task domains can also be a primary task domain when the organization provides this as a core activity to others. From the perspective of the involved facility management team or organization, these tasks are their primary activities, their business, by definition.
