Service catalog

From USM Wiki

Preferred Term Service catalog
Definition List of services that a service provider makes available to a customer.
Acronym
Explanation The service catalog is a document, owned and prepared by the service provider. It describes the services a service provider can provide to customers and their users. These services can be presented in the structure of a service-tree. A service description includes the facilities and the support of these facilities.

In USM, each service is based on an external customer perspective, and the service catalog may for that reason be named a “customer service catalog”. This represents a position at level 4 or 5 of the USM Value Maturity Model. In case the service provider is positioned at a lower level of the USM Value Maturity Model, the service catalog may represent a more provider-internal, technological perspective. See technical catalog, request catalog.
